«QUIZ DITY» in Slavutych: A Day of Knowledge, Safety, and Unity
On April 25, 2026, the «KrOKus» Gymnasium in Slavutych hosted a Safety Marathon within the framework of the All-Ukrainian school league «QUIZ DITY» dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. The event was held with the support of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, the «Plich-o-Plich: United Communities» project, and the Friends of Ukraine – International Partnership Foundation. Teams of children from satellite cities of nuclear power plants — Slavutych, Enerhodar, and Varash — took part in the event.
During the marathon, participants learned mine safety rules, practiced first aid skills, and developed psychological resilience and teamwork through interactive and practical activities.
The special atmosphere of the event was created by hosts Dmytro Zelinskyi and Oleksandr Stepanenko. Distinguished guests also attended the event, including Slavutych Mayor Yurii Fomichev and Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.
The Safety Marathon became an important step in promoting a culture of safety among children and once again reminded everyone that knowledge and practical skills can save lives.
